Orphans aren't really orphans

Baltimore, Md., Sep 26, 2017 / 03:20 am (CNA).- Shannon Senefeld always assumed that children in orphanages are mostly orphans. Most people make that assumption.

When Senefeld found out this was not the case, she was shocked.

More than a quarter of adoptive families are in crisis, according to a survey by the BBC and Adoption UK.

More than half of those surveyed reported living with a child who was violent, including being punched, kicked or threatened with knives.
