Social worker left children at risk of sexual abuse and harm

A senior social worker who left vulnerable children open to abuse has been struck off. Brian Stevenson, a senior resource manager in Dundee city council’s social work department, failed to report allegations that a seven-year-old girl was being sexually abused by her father. He also overlooked claims that she was attending school tired, hungry and smelling of urine.
