“Safe at Home” Federal Waiver to help West Virginia keep children with families in home communities

In October 2014, the Department of Health and Human Resources Bureau for Children and Families (BCF) received a competitive Title IV-E Waiver from the Administration for Children and Families, Children’s Bureau. This waiver will allow BCF to have more flexibility in delivering services through Safe at Home West Virginia, a demonstration project to strengthen and support families by reducing the number of children receiving services in out-of-home care facilities.
