Some of ex-caseworker's convictions overturned

The Court of Appeals of Indiana today overturned part of the conviction of former Child Protective Services caseworker Cory Heinzman.

Hamilton County Superior Court Judge Daniel J. Pfleging sentenced Heinzman, 39, Arcadia, on Sept. 5, 2007, to 106.5 years in prison after a jury found him guilty that June of 17 sex-related charges. At the time, Deputy Prosecutor Stephanie Smith said it was likely he would serve 53 years with credit for good behavior.
